As the first live theatrical presentation in Ely’s newly renovated Historical State Theater, Jeff Brumbeau’s book, brilliantly illustrated by Ely’s own Gail de Marcken, comes to life with book by Alan J. Prewitt and music by Craig Bohmler. Laurie Kess directs, Irene Hartfield is musical director. Three performances: Friday night and Saturday and Sunday matinees.
The plot: a generous quiltmaker dares to deny a greedy king. The musical has been performed on many stages and will now be performed on the newly renovated Historical State Theater’s stage.
