Praise Fellowship, a non-denominational Christian church is centered in Jesus Christ and uses only the Bible to teach the difference between religion and Christianity.
No traditions, no rituals, only the Word of God and His love is taught to lead and guide others into accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, which then leads to living an abundant and purposeful life here and now, while giving the assurance of possessing eternal life in heaven after leaving this world. We want people to know that God is love and that Jesus came to save us not condemn us, and the only way to possessing eternal life is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sunday morning Bible Study Classes are held at 9 a.m.

Church Office Hours:
Thursdays from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
We come from hundreds of ethnic and language backgrounds, yet we are united by common goals. Above all, we want to honor Jehovah, the God of the Bible and the Creator of all things. We do our best to imitate Jesus Christ and are proud to be called Christians.
Each of us regularly spends time helping people learn about the Bible and God’s Kingdom. Because we witness, or talk, about Jehovah God and his Kingdom, we are known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Our goal as a congregation is to add to and pass on the spiritual enrichment and strength for living in Christ that we have received and to share the love of Christ with others. Our congregation represents, as it always has, a cross section of the Ely community: mining, tourism, education, health care, government and business.
We give thanks for our church building and the care given to it; yet, we value even more the heritage of Christian fellowship and service, which began here in 1892.
Our mission:
“Know, Grow, Serve, Go” (Know Christ, Grow Together in faith, Serve all people, Go and make disciples.)
Our vision:
“To be a loving church family committed to the word of God. To be growing in Christ, dependent on the Holy Spirit, prayer, and reaching out in grace and mercy.”
For a friendly face and spiritual community, let First Lutheran be your church home, or home away from home. We invite you to worship with us when visiting the beautiful Boundary Waters area of Ely, Minnesota.
All Are Welcome
All of our service times have changed. Sunday morning worship is at 10:30 am and our Lenten midweek service is on Wednesday at 5 pm.
We are a Bible believing, gospel preaching church in the north woods of Minnesota, located in Ely, Minnesota. Ely is sometimes called the “End of the Road”, but we are a church that seeks to take the gospel “From the End of the Road to the Ends of the Earth.”
Our Service times are as follows:
Sunday School- 9:00am
Sunday Worship – 10:30am
Prayer Times for Men and Women – Mondays at 7:00pm
Systematic Theology Study – Wednesdays at 7:00pm
We Love Moms Ministry – 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month
Visiting a church is hard work sometimes! You’ve got to find parking, find the sanctuary, look for a place to sit, familiarize yourself with the worship service and try to find the hymns in the hymnal! If you’ve got kids, it’s even more complicated!
We completely understand. Helping you and your family find a safe and warm community of faith in which you can worship God and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ is our top priority as a congregation. We want you with us in worship and we’ll do what we can to help transition you into our community of faith. Click on the links under “Visiting” and “Worship” to find out more about our worship service and how to be a part of what we do on Sundays.
