What does someone coming from a paddle around the Boundary Waters want, sometimes more than a shower; of course a cold beer and a great steak!
Established at the top of Sheridan street in 1997, the Ely Steak House provides that and much more. There are however, if you look around the dining rooms and lounge, a lot of people enjoying the food, who have never taken up a paddle.
The “Kick Butt” steaks do exactly that. You will find yourself comparing any future steak or burger to what you had at the Steak House. Everything else on the menu lives up to those standards, and everyone has a favorite. From the famous “Bucky“ burger, and giant walleye sandwiches, to the great desserts and fresh coffee.
Reservations recommended.
