Britton’s Cafe is a classic home style cafe with walls covered in memorabilia, a diner-like bar to sit at, and character all around.
Stony Ridge Resort is a family operated resort located just north of Ely, on the south side of Shagawa Lake. Stony Ridge offers rustic log cabins with the modern conveniences of home.
We also offer RV and tent sites with water and electric hook-ups and of course, an awesome view of scenic Shagawa Lake.
Shagawa Lake is a 2000 acre designated Walleye lake with no slots. It is stocked every 3 years with an average of 2.9 million fry. It also has very strong natural reproduction; this would explain the DNR’s 29.11 Walleyes per gill net!
Shore lunch you ask? How about 26 islands to choose from. Stony Ridge Bait & Tackle Shop is a throw back to the “good ole days” with much to see and of course, we have everything to meet your fishing needs.
Stony Ridge Café is very popular with Elyite’s (locals) as they refer to it as “Ely’s Best Kept Secret”. Our award winning café features over 50 gourmet burgers and our “Famous Stuffed Hashbrowns”. Stop in and give us a visit, we look forward to seeing you!
The Boathouse Brewpub is a place to gather with friends and enjoy great food and drinks. We brew a variety of beers in our in-house brewery and offer “to-go” beer growlers in glass and plastic (BWCA Approved).

Log Cabin Coffee is Ely’s only drive-thru espresso! Serving up delicious hot & cold specialty drinks from a cozy little hand-scribed log cabin.
Our story began innocently enough, out in the fields of produce that my wife and I were tending during our time as farming apprentices. We learned some great life lessons out there, stuff you can’t learn from a book.
One day I said something like “wouldn’t it be funny if we made cranberry apple granola and called it Crapola?”.
I say lots of things like that, but for some reason, this idea actually became a reality. The next thing I knew, a business was born. Be careful what you say in front of your wife. It could change your life forever.
Since our humble beginning almost ten years ago, we have grown our product line and our distribution area. We have put the “fun” in “functional” food, and reminded scores of people about the importance of fiber in their diet, in our own signature style.
We have had a lot of fun marketing our granola, but we’re serious when it comes to quality. Just like we learned in farming, it’s worth taking extra time and effort to do things the way we believe is best. Running this business has been far more work than we imagined, but we learn as we go and take pride in our accomplishments. We have grown the business, but the business has also grown us. Each day brings new opportunities and we’re excited about the future. We want to sincerely thank our “regular” customers for supporting us all these years!
