Gracie’s Garden is an entirely woman-owned and locally-operated garden center in Ely, Minnesota. Founded in 2011 by Kathy Cyriacks, we are one of the largest growers of organic herbs in Northeastern Minnesota. Every year our greenhouses are filled with organic, heirloom tomatoes and vegetable starts, flowering annuals, and perennials.
Nursery stock (trees and shrubs) and ornamental edibles such as raspberries, currants, blueberries, and strawberry plants are available each spring/summer/fall. You’ll find a wide array of organic fertilizers, pots, and garden tools in the potting shed.
Our gift shop is filled with garden-centric gifts, pillows, napkins, tools, rain chains, soaps, books, chimes, garden art, and wrought iron metal garden structures.

Minnesota North Vermilion costs are affordable, and we provide a living experience right on campus. You may prefer to live in the residence hall and not have to go outside during the winter months, or you may prefer to have a brisk wake-up call as you walk to classes from your Timber Ridge or college apartment. Canoe Country Outfitters is conveniently located in downtown Ely, plus we maintain a private canoe base on Moose Lake (20 miles east of Ely). From these two locations we are able to quickly service all area trip starting points. We have outfitted more people and have been under the same family management longer than any other outfitter, so no one can match our experience and knowledge of the area.
Entry permits are required to travel through this area and we’ll make the application in your behalf. These permits are very limited, so early planning is a must.
