Visiting a church is hard work sometimes! You’ve got to find parking, find the sanctuary, look for a place to sit, familiarize yourself with the worship service and try to find the hymns in the hymnal! If you’ve got kids, it’s even more complicated!
We completely understand. Helping you and your family find a safe and warm community of faith in which you can worship God and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ is our top priority as a congregation. We want you with us in worship and we’ll do what we can to help transition you into our community of faith. Click on the links under “Visiting” and “Worship” to find out more about our worship service and how to be a part of what we do on Sundays.

Northern Expressions is a combination ice cream parlor and gift shop in downtown Ely. Try to choose from among the many flavors in the freezer case and then go for a homemade waffle cone, or skip the cone part altogether and opt for a highly rated root beer float. A local favorite.
Unlike the average vacationer’s resort, Veterans on the Lake has a unique historic background for why it was founded.
In 1982, Disabled Veterans Recreation, Inc. was organized by a group of northeastern Minnesota citizens passionate about finding adequate recreational resources for veterans. Originally the Disabled Veterans Recreation, Inc., Veterans on the Lake was started for the sole purpose of creating a recreational facility for disabled veterans to enjoy vacations. Treehouse is a local businesses founded and operated right in Ely. We’re committed to providing great service and support at an affordable price.
We promise fair pricing, no yearly contracts, and no cancellation fees.
Unlike others “up to” internet speeds, we guarantee you’ll always receive at least the minimum speed of your service level.
Treehouse uses fixed wireless connections from towers to your house, using directional antennas. This results in actual speeds often 10x faster than DSL, at costs 10-100x cheaper than deploying fiber.
Much of Ely and the surrounding towns and lakes lack proper broadband internet access. Existing installed DSL technology is woefully outdated and oversubscribed, resulting in speeds far lower than advertised. The cost of rural fiber to the home is too high for private investment. Treehouse Broadband provides a better option through Fixed Wireless internet access.

Joe’s Marine is a full service marine maintenance and repair facility.
Joe’s Marine & Repair has been family operated since 1974. Joe Gilbert had a vision for the need of a repair shop in the Ely area. He purchased Nordstrom’s Blacksmith Shop on the west end of town and transformed it into a repair shop.
In the beginning the shop was run by Joe, his daughters Sherry and Cathy and his son Kevin. Soon after the business grew Cathy’s husband Rico joined the business. In the early 80’s Kevin came back full time and his wife Paulette came on board. In the mid 80’s Joe’s wife Nancy became the bookkeeper. When Nancy retired Cathy took over the bookkeeping duties. Joe even had his grandchildren Jason, Tony and Jenni working in the shop.
Over the years we have had many wonderful employees helping make Joe’s Marine what it is today.
