Vosburgh’s Custom Cabin Rentals offers a unique approach to your Northwoods retreat. Our ten vacation homes are located on beautiful Moose Lake, the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Each has a breath-taking view of the lake, offers the remoteness and privacy of the Northwoods, and contains all the comforts of home. Vosburgh’s has a cabin and an experience to suit any vacation requirement.
All of the cabins are fully furnished and complementary WiFi internet access is available in our main lodge.
Canoe Country Outfitters is conveniently located in downtown Ely, plus we maintain a private canoe base on Moose Lake (20 miles east of Ely). From these two locations we are able to quickly service all area trip starting points. We have outfitted more people and have been under the same family management longer than any other outfitter, so no one can match our experience and knowledge of the area.
Entry permits are required to travel through this area and we’ll make the application in your behalf. These permits are very limited, so early planning is a must.

Stony Ridge Resort is a family operated resort located just north of Ely, on the south side of Shagawa Lake. Stony Ridge offers rustic log cabins with the modern conveniences of home.
We also offer RV and tent sites with water and electric hook-ups and of course, an awesome view of scenic Shagawa Lake.
Shagawa Lake is a 2000 acre designated Walleye lake with no slots. It is stocked every 3 years with an average of 2.9 million fry. It also has very strong natural reproduction; this would explain the DNR’s 29.11 Walleyes per gill net!
Shore lunch you ask? How about 26 islands to choose from. Stony Ridge Bait & Tackle Shop is a throw back to the “good ole days” with much to see and of course, we have everything to meet your fishing needs.
